The college counsels students on placements and assists them by arranging campus interviews (both online and offline) at the end of the academic year. The ACJ is the most preferred destination for media organisations for recruiting journalistic talent, and has consistently registered excellent placements for more than two decades.
The integrated approach of our curriculum and the hands-on training that the students receive has created pool of multi-platform journalists, who are ready to hit the ground running, the qualities most media recruiters look for while hiring freshers.
Consequently, the college has achieved 100 per cent placement almost every year, with the number of job offers exceeding number of students in some years.
ACJ graduates are currently working in media organisations throughout India and abroad, many of them in leadership positions.
Major media houses that have recruited from the ACJ in the last few years include Indian Express, Times of India, Economic Times, Hindustan Times, Mint, The Hindu group (including Sportstar and Frontline), NDTV, NDTV Profit, Times Now, ET Now, Mirror Now, CNN-News 18, CNBC TV 18, Money Control, Firstpost, The New Indian Express, Business Standard, WION, Zee News, India Today group, Sun Network, ETV, The Quint, The Wire, Reuters, Deccan Herald, The Print, Scroll and National Herald.
Some of our alumni have established themselves as independent journalists not only in India, but also countries like the United States and the UK. A few others are currently with international media organizations like Public Broadcasting Service (PBS of the US), Deustche Welle (Germany), Columbia Journalism Review (the US) and The Independent (the UK).
