Residential Workshop on 
'Journalism and Mass Communication' 

A 9-day residential training workshop on 'Journalism and Mass Communication' was inaugurated at the Asian College of Journalism on August 25, 2025.

The workshop is an initiative of the Government of Tamil Nadu, Department of Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare in collaboration with Centre for Social Justice and Equity, Madras School of Social Work and Asian College of Journalism.

24 participants from different districts of Tamil Nadu, who are graduates from SC and ST communities, were part of this workshop.

The core objective of the workshop is to equip SC/ST students with the knowledge and skills needed to use journalism as a catalytic tool for social change.
