Testimonials
The College counsels students on placement and assists them by arranging on- and off-campus interviews from mid April. ACJ has become the preferred destination for media organisations in search of talented and capable young recruits. ACJ graduates are currently working in news organisations throughout India and in some other South Asian countries. Among the media employers of ACJ graduates are The Times of India, The Economic Times, The Hindu, The Indian Express, The New Indian Express, Mint, The Asian Age, The Telegraph, The Statesman, The Hindustan Times, Frontline, Business Standard, Business Line, Digit, UNI, NDTV, CNN-IBN, Times Now, CNBC, Aaj Tak, Headlines Today, Star News, NewsX, ANI, Reuters, ETV, UTV, TV9, Cricinfo, Sify.com, and Big FM Radio. |
I visited ACJ to interview candidates
It was an experience both rewarding and gratifying. I came away wishing I had an entire department to fill, instead of a paltry two vacancies. The two young women who accepted our offer have borne out the promise they showed at the interview. They consistently display a fresh approach and a personal style in addition to their solid journalistic skills.

Congratulations are due to ACJ for the impeccable standards of journalism being upheld. The students are indeed well informed and diligent. Keep up the good work. Aroon Purie, CEO, The India Today Group and Chairman, TV Today |
Reuters has been directly engaged with the students and the faculty of ACJ since the opening of our Bangalore operation in 2004. The main aim has been recruitment, but in 2006 we launched the Reuters Business Journalism course to help develop a broader interest in business reporting among ACJ students. We are constantly impressed with the enthusiasm and the calibre of the students we meet here, and many of your alumni - including Akshay Lodaya, who is the head of our equities news operation in Bangalore - have joined Reuters and made very successful careers for themselves.

At The Indian Express, we have found the students from ACJ highly committed and well-trained. It is reassuring to come across young people who are aware of realities beyond their immediate environment. ACJ students have a refreshing perspective of the profession and its possibilities. Their training is wellrounded and so comprehensive that they are already used to working very very hard, which is the best preparation for a journalistic career.
Shekhar Gupta, Editor-in-Chief & Group CEO, The Indian Express Newspapers |
I have found the students from ACJ outstanding without exception. The training there allows them to hit the ground running; most of them are able to get straight down to the job with very little handholding. They are all willing workers with well-developed journalism skills.

The Hindu Group has recruited several young women and men from the ACJ. We regard them as a real asset. We particularly appreciate their facility in English and their news writing skills.
